Intervention Objective
Explore, discover and invent specific digital value cases, prioritized based on business value and ease of execution.
Why is this important?
Digital is not a goal in itself of course - it must deliver significant new value to the business. It is often not obvious where to start or what to prioritize. In some cases, there are countless ideas, in other cases very few. To avoid a "shotgun" approach and to ensure digital investments are aligned with the overall vision and strategy, it is necessary to discover, assess and prioritize digital opportunities.
Some questions to be addressed
What are the ideas that we have already identified?
What are our competitors and companies in similar markets doing?
What new and emerging digital technologies might be relevant for our company?
Do we have sources of data that can be leveraged in digital solutions?
What new ideas can we discover to drive growth, transform customer experience and automate operational processes?
What is the potential business value for each idea and how easy / costly is it to realize?
Approach
To define the digital Value Opportunity, both out-of-the-box creativity and pragmatic thinking are essential. It is necessary to:
Have extensive dialogue and engagement with stakeholders at all levels across the business.
Catalyze the discovery of creative ideas with inspiration sessions and facilitated brainstorming workshops.
Analyze ideas to define potential value (strategic, growth, cost reduction), costs to realize, and business readiness.
The intervention is executed in three phases:
